In the past decade the apparel and footwear industry has moved to the forefront of sustainability.  The industry has found that being a good corporate citizen and producing sustainably is a great business decision.  Various sustainability initiatives have brought together the industry and led to a collective push towards ever-more sustainable products and manufacturing processes.  With more and more resources being put towards sustainability initiatives, it is likely that the industry will continue to push the envelope in the coming years.
